This series of participatory sculpture dismantles the idea of economic power embedded in memory and history making. The project has engaged with communities in Spain, New York, and Colombia to dissect the idea of border, neighborhood, family and immigration from a popular stand, giving these communities the opportunity to write and rewrite their history.
The project consists of abstraction exercises intervening upon ostensibly forgotten objects that nevertheless maintain some personal meaning. Working with communities an idea is identified, something they want to make visible, a conflict to address, an issue to resolve or something to celebrate.
